Court Farm Woods
A KNOWSLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL WOOD
2.22 ha (5.49 acres)
Court Farm Woods has a rich history dating back to Roman times. Archaeological digs in the 1990s uncovered evidence of Roman and Anglo Saxon settlement at the site. It is also the former location of Court Farm and a Brewery, building foundations and the original walled pond for which are still evident. The Court Farm Woods Association has supported a major investment in the site's natural habitats and public infrastructure in 2012. To get involved, contact Knowsley Council on 0151 443 2482.
