Grab a spade and come along to Whinny Hill Wood to help us plant native trees at this picturesque woodland on the banks of Loch Lomond.

No experience is necessary and our friendly team will provide you with a demo and the appropriate tools. Drop in anytime between 10am and 1pm.

Parts of Whinny Hill were recently felled as a proactive response to the spread of Phytophthora ramorum disease, which greatly affects larch. Planting new trees will help ensure this wood continues to flourish for generations to come.

We’ll be taking photos and video at this event but you’ll be able to opt out. Images will only be used to benefit our work. Among others, this may include our publications, presentations, talk or event materials, website or marketing materials, national or local press for publicity and/or promotional purposes, and funding, corporate partners or third party organisations working with us.

We manage over 60 woodlands across Scotland, including Whinny Hill. Our vision is for a world where woods and trees thrive for people and nature.

This is a free event but booking in advance via Eventbrite is encouraged.

Don't forget

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for planting outdoors. Good waterproofs, walking boots and warm layers are advised.

There are limited facilities and no toilets on site. The nearest toilets are located at Caulders Garden Centre (G83 8NB).

Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
