Power through your step goals and enjoy the fresh air of spring on this guided hike, as part of South Kesteven District Council's (SKDC) Walking Festival.

Social walks are a great opportunity to meet new people, discover new places and build your confidence walking in the countryside.

Starting and finishing at Londonthorpe Woods car park, this 20km hike will take us across Belton Estate, up Green Lane and past the White House, before heading along to Barkston Airfield. We will then descend Minnett’s Hill before entering Barkston Village for a spot of lunch by the river (please bring your own).

From there the walk will ascend gently to Peascliff Tunnel before heading back to Belton Estate and across to Bellmount Tower. There will be two rest stops along the route.

Together with the National Trust, supported by National Lottery players through the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we've linked Londonthorpe Woods and Bellmount, reconnecting Grantham to its historic landscape.

This is a free event but booking in advance via the National Trust website is essential.

Don't forget

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring sturdy footwear. You may also wish to bring binoculars.
