The walk will last around two hours with regular stops as our guide talks you through the wood's fascinating features. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the walk starts to allow time for parking and signing in.

This is a free event but booking in advance via Eventbrite is essential.

Don't forget

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring sturdy footwear. You may also want to bring sun protection, insect repellent and a drink.

There are no toilet facilities on site. The nearest public toilets are in Ashtead on Woodfield Lane (KT21 1AT).

Please make the Woodland Trust team aware of any medical issues before the start of the walk.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

    This surfaced car park has over 70 spaces, including disabled parking and RolecEV charging for electric vehicles. There is a charge, with all funds going towards the maintenance of Langley Vale Wood. Charges are as follows:

    Two hours - £2
    Four hours - £4
    All day - £5

    Payment can be made using a contactless card via the payment machines onsite or through the RingGo app. Please note: the machines do not take cash. Remember to allocate enough time for the event (we recommend four hours).
  • Access: this event is around two hours long and will be on a mix of surfaced and unsurfaced paths, with some slopes. Unfortunately, the route we have planned isn’t suitable for prams or people with mobility issues. If this means you are unable to attend, or if you have any questions or access requirements, please get in touch at langleyvalewood@woodlandtrust.org.uk.
  • Dogs: well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
