Butterfly walk at Langley Vale Wood
Join us as we track down and admire the butterflies of Langley Vale Wood on a guided summertime walk.

Come along to Langley Vale Wood for a guided tour of the site and its butterfly hotspots.
As we go in search of the butterflies which call Langley Vale home, we'll hear how our amazing team of volunteers are maintaining chalk scrapes for species such as the small blue – an increasingly scarce butterfly in the UK.
This is a free event but booking in advance via Eventbrite is essential.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring sturdy footwear. You may also want to bring sun protection and a drink.
There are no toilet facilities on site. The nearest public toilets are in Ashtead on Woodfield Lane (KT21 1AT).
Please make the Woodland Trust team aware of any medical issues before the start of the walk.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

This surfaced car park has over 70 spaces, including disabled parking and RolecEV charging for electric vehicles. There is a charge, with all funds going towards the maintenance of Langley Vale Wood. Charges are as follows:
Two hours - £2
Four hours - £4
All day - £5
Payment can be made using a contactless card via the payment machines onsite or through the RingGo app. Please note: the machines do not take cash. Remember to allocate enough time for the event (we recommend four hours). - Access: this walk will be around two hours long. Unfortunately, the route we have planned isn’t suitable for prams or people with mobility issues. - Dogs: well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
