Fracking – the Woodland Trust's position

This position statement sets out the Trust’s stance on fracking.

It presents an overview of the fracking process and associated activities as well as current controls, permissions and licensing.

It also explains the potential impacts on the environment and our opposition to any applications that could affect ancient woodland or any part of our estate as well as our view on future regulation.
