Grey squirrel management position statement, January 2013

Grey squirrels were introduced into the UK in 1876. They are an established part of the UK’s wildlife and a popular sight in parks, gardens and woods.

However, grey squirrels are also the subject of concern among landowners and conservationists. This position statement presents:

  • our view across four key points
  • four actions we are committed to, with regards squirrel control.
