Forms a continuum with Dulwich & Sydenham Hill Woods, the Walk is an oak-lined avenue created in the 1740s, but diverted over a railway in 1865 (since closed but the bridge remains). It is a popular local route, cutting between a golf course and allotments, which form a large green space along the South Circular. The Walk, a Protected London Square, is managed by London Wildlife Trust and Southwark Council. See: www.wildlondon.org.uk/nature-reserves/sydenham-hill-wood-and-coxs-walk
