The State of the UK's Woods and Trees 2025 report puts woodlands back under the microscope to check on their health and see what's changed since our first report. Drawing on the evidence, we've produced four policy summary reports – one for each country in the UK.

The summary report for England includes:

• the Woodland Trust's work there
• a set of country-specific policy asks to make a difference, including enhance and protect existing woods and trees.
