Community woodland area adjacent to the village of Westmuir. It is mostly a wetland area with wet heath and dry heath where birch, willow and alder dominate. The community group try to encourage biodiversity by creating new habitats where possible, including wildflower areas. There is a car park at the west boundary and there are constructed paths throughout the area with boardwalks covering the wetter areas. The Westmuir Community Development Trust are grateful for the grant assistance provided by "Paths for All" in order to maintain and improve the path network. It is a level site and mostly accessible to wheelchair users. Management applied to the Park entails removal of birch saplings from the dry heath and planting of other tree species in selected areas. We have noticed an increase in density of trees over the years because of the random presence of people and dogs and hence reducing browsing of saplings by Roe deer.
