Long narrow srip of woodland along the sides of a disused railway and on the adjacent river bank. Most of the woodland consists of young and semi-mature, self sown birch, goat willow, ash and sycamore. Alder, gean and oak have been planted on flat ground between the railway and the river Glazert. Small patches of Japanese knotweed also occur in this area. Access from Birdston Road - OSGR: NS 647767
