Prior Park was created in the 18th century by local entrepreneur Ralph Allen, with advice from 'Capability' Brown and the poet Alexander Pope. The garden is set in a sweeping valley with magnificent views of Bath. Broadleaved woodland on either side of the valley with many veteran trees. Many historic features including Palladion bridge straddling a lake . Note that only disabled parking on site. Number 1 Bus from Bath station or healthy walk. There is an entrance fee.
