Gunnersbury Triangle
LONDON WILDLIFE TRUST WOOD
A stunning oasis of pioneer birch, willow and sycamore woodland in a triangle of railway lines, that was saved by a landmark planning decision in 1983 on the value of its ecology to local people. Well maintained paths lead you past ponds, beetle log piles, ponds & open acidic grassland glades. Several trees labelled and some habitat information along the tracks. Managed by London Wildlife Trust on behalf of Hounslow Council it is a great Local Nature Reserve to visit for all. Plans are in progress to upgrade visitor facilities.
