There are approximately 140 acres of woodlands at Finlaystone, including trees which are estimated to be well over 400 years old. The woodland plays host to a wide variety of wildlife including roe deer, fox, grey squirrel, stoat, three species of bat and a large colony of herons. Follow the changing seasons and seek out snow trails and snowdrops in winter, bluebells in spring, wildflowers and pond life during summer and a vast array of colourful berries & leaves in autumn.
