Chester Moor Woods

Paths from the Chester Moor pub cross down Union Lane. This recent woodland was planted in 2005 by the Durham Council forester . Many species were placed in single blocks to replicate the natural seedings. The mature woods now form a decent nature reserve on this old mine site.
