An old pine woodland on top of a signifcant pitheap remnant in mid Durham. A path from the northern road crosses into the high point where views over the Willington area show the pastoral nature of the area. A path from church street bus stop goes west into the woods and gains the height gradually. This is one of the few remaining unlevelled pitheaps in the county.
