First-hand experience for further education students

Speaker 1: Today we have had 20 level three students planting, so that is 16+ students. They've done really, really well, they've actually really enjoyed it. It's something we've been looking forward to over the last few weeks, they've all got involved on the day, everybody's been working together. We've had different people doing different tasks, like we've had some planters, some holding the plants for them, we've had people using the wheelbarrows collecting the rainwater because we've used reusable water, so we've not used the fresh tap water, which is better for the planting process. We've also been discussing this in class by linking it into our written work and their scheme of work that we're working through for their qualification. And so it's a real big boost for both them and the course.

Speaker 2: Planting these trees links to my qualification as it's part of wildlife ecology and helping biodiversity, so this could provide food and natural resources for such things like birds to build nests.

Speaker 1: I found the application process and the delivery really quick and speedy, it was very easy to apply online, very responsive and the delivery was really quick.

Speaker 3: I've loved being a part of this tree planting. Honestly, it's been so fun, it's very therapeutic and then in a few years we're going to have nice trees and bushes to show for what we've done.

Speaker 1: I think this free tree scheme is absolutely fantastic, I would highly recommend any business, college, school, or anybody that's got any spaces that they can put fresh hedgerows in to go and support this scheme.  Order your trees, it's so easy to do, they're lovely little healthy trees.  And, you know what? It's taken us an hour and a half to plant 20 trees, we've really enjoyed it as a team project.
