Accessed from the aptly named Corkscrew Lane, The Blackberry Wood lies on the outskirts of the hamlet of Farm Town. This 5 ha wood was planted in 2007 as part of the National Forest and contains a variety of young native trees bounded by mature hedges. Access to the site is tricky with only narrow openings in the boundary hedge, making the site unsuitable for families with buggies or anyone with mobility issues. There are however, some good views with wildlife such as field mice clearly evident.
