Decoy Heath

Formerly gravel pits, the interest of this site lies in the variety of habitats across a relatively small area: young birch woodland with pines, birch regeneration, ponds and wetlands fringed with willow and open grass/heath. A good site for all forms of wildlife if you're quiet and apparently it is one of the best sites for dragonfly and damselfly in Berkshire with 23 species known to breed here.
