A beautiful little ancient woodland hidden away in a gill in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's great to explore as part of a longer route as it's necessary to walk to the site. The terrain is challenging with steep slopes to climb on the paths.

The wood is peaceful. Sit on a bench and admire the spring flowers or watch the waterfalls. The remains of an old bobbin mill in the east also fire the imagination.
