Delve into the secrets of the canopy as we explore Urquhart Bay Wood on this guided walk. 

Wander through the wood with us, find out more about the trees and plants that grow here, and spot the wildlife that relies on them - all while catching glimpses of Loch Ness.

Don't forget

There are no facilities onsite. The nearest facilities are at Loch Ness Hub, in the main car park in the centre of Drumnadrochit.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear clothing and footwear suitable for spending time outdoors. Good waterproofs, walking boots and warm layers are advised.

Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.

  • Price: free, but booking is essential. Donations to support the management of our woodlands are welcome. 
  • Location: Kilmore car park, E Lewiston Road, Kilmore, Inverness, IV63 6TS.

  • Access: the Woodland Trust paths are well maintained and easy to walk along. Walks usually take 1.5 to 2.5 hours and are tailored to visitor preference.
