Wood Wise – marvellous mammals

This issue of Wood Wise explores the marvellous world of the mammals that call UK woodland their home.

From bats and beavers to pine martens and polecats, mammals are our closest living relatives and we share similar traits. The article looks at some of the woodland species and their ecological and habitat requirements and those under threat as a result of human activity.
