Wood Wise – hedgerows and hedgerow trees

This issue of Wood Wise looks at the benefits of hedges, how they are managed for wildlife and hedgerow planting and improvement schemes.

Hedges are important features in the landscape. They offer food and shelter for many species, historical and cultural links for us and provide connecting corridors for wildlife.

Now many hedges are under threat from removal and poor management and need our help.
