This private woodland is the largest tract of woodland in southern Wiltshire straddling the Wylie and Nadder valleys. A avenue of beeches escort as an old Roman road runs through the site. This an ancient broadleaved woodland with many ancient, veteran and notable trees including yews. Reached on foot from Wilton or car park at end of track leading past pub in Great Wishford.
