Alva Glen cuts into the southern scarp of the Ochil Hills. It is a gem of a walk, offering broadleaf woodlands, waterfalls, paths with dramatic drops, and wonderful history about the Woollen Industry. A car park marks the start of the walk. The lower part of the walk is easy but as you progress upwards the ascent becomes steep and the slopes precipitous. You will emerge from the woodland into open moorland with wonderful views.
