Folkestone Warren is one of Britain's most important places for wildlife and is protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve. The white cliffs overlooking the dramatic landslips are the most important feature of the Dover-Folkestone Heritage coats. The site encompasses the range of habitats associated with the chalk cliffs, and is of great biological importance, supporting outstanding groups of plants and invertebrates together with individual species which are nationally uncommon.
