Dunham Massey - Dunham New Park
Greater ManchesterView Wood
The house, gardens and deer park are at the centre of the 3,000 acre agricultural estate, with excellent facilities, including transfer from the car park if required. The pasture-woodland dates back to the Middle Ages and some 31,000 trees were planted in the early 18th century, with avenues making a 'goose foot' design. Many of these oak & beech trees are still standing and, being the only place in the NW of England with such a concentration of old trees, it is a site of national importance.
