Cropton Forest

Cropton Forest is described as a residential forest due to its campsite, forest cabins and outdoor activity centres. Access except for these facilities is informal, walks inside the coniferous woodland can be enjoyed. The Forestry Commission is currently working to restore the tranquillity and character of this scenic wood through the closure of a 3 mile stretch of woodland road in November 2011.
