Join us on Sunday 28th November and Saturday 4th December to plant trees on the newly acquired extension area at Hainault Forest. Bring your family and friends and get your hands dirty in the fight against climate change.

Don't forget

Remember to wrap up warm and prepare for all weather as we can’t promise sunshine. Please wear stout footwear or wellies as the ground will be uneven in areas.

Please bring a spade if you have one although there will be a limited number available on the day.

There will be catering and a portable toilet available at the event, please bring cash for the catering.

Feel free to bring your own food and hot drinks if you prefer.

All children under the age of 16 must attend with an appropriate adult.

When and where

  • Date: Sunday 28 November and Saturday 4 December, 10.00am - 2.00pm, with last entry to the event at 1.00pm.
  • Price: Free, but donations to support the management of our woodlands are welcome.
  • Location: Hainault Forest, Romford, Essex. IG7 4QN. This ancient woodland is home to a wealth of wildlife and plant species, and was once a royal hunting forest, providing venison for the king’s table. Adjoining Hainault Forest Country Park, this wood is just a stone’s throw from London.
  • Dogs: Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
  • Access: Unfortunately, the site is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs as there is no path network yet.
  • Parking: Parking will be at the Hainault Forest Country Park IG7 4QN which is adjacent to the site and from there shuttle buses will be used to get to the actual planting site.

Booking isn't required however please be aware last access to the event is at 1.00pm.
