Join us on an autumnal guided walk learning about the trees and history of Nemillerdam Country Park. 

Enjoy art activities on route, collecting autumn leaves, bark rubbings, and making art on-site using sticks and leaves.  Bring A4 paper, crayons, and a carrier bag.

Please be aware that there are limited places, so be sure to book.

The walk will take approx. 2 to 3 hours ending at The Boat House Cafe.

Don't forget

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear – as the route is over uneven ground.

  • Price: Free, but donations to support the management of our woodlands are welcome.
  • Location: Meet at the mains car park forNewmilledam Country Park, Wakefield, WF2 6QQ.
  • Dogs: Well-behaved dogs are allowed on leads.
  • Access: This wood is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Parking: You can find directions on the Wakefield Council website. Please be aware charges apply 8.00am-6.00pm, Monday to Sunday.
