About the Woodland Trust
The Woodland Trust is one of the UK’s leading conservation charities. We have over 500,000 members and supporters and more than 1,000 sites all over the UK.
We believe life’s better with trees. We protect and campaign on behalf of the UK’s woods, plant more trees, and restore ancient woodland, for the benefit of wildlife and people.
Explore this enchanting little woodland glen and you’ll come across fascinating birdlife, sculptures of mythical creatures peering from the trees, and reminders of its past as the gardens of a Victorian country house. Surfaced paths provide easy access for all abilities, and it’s just 15 minutes walk from Carrickfergus town.
Outdoor working experience, a sensible regard for health and safety, record keeping and previous experience co-ordinating other people/volunteers are desirable.
This role is best suited to someone living within 30 miles of the site.
