Improving water quality with trees, May 2015 case study

This case study examines how planting trees has improved Wessex rivers.

A partnership project between the Woodland Trust and the Environment Agency is improving water quality in rivers and streams in the Wessex area. And all by planting trees.

The case study considers:

  • the collaborative working necessary for success
  • several example projects and schemes
  • the need to share best practice with landowners and others.
