Make a pledge to help trees and woods

This competition has now closed. The lucky winners are listed below.

Pupils celebrated Keith the leaf's birthday by pledging to help trees and woods.

Have you met Keith the leaf? He's the virtual green tutor in our Tree Tools for Schools interactive resource and he's been dishing out helpful tips and advice for a whole year. To celebrate his first birthday we ran a special competition for KS2 and KS3 schools across the UK.

The competition

We asked pupils to make a pledge to help trees and woods at home, in their school or their community.

And the winners are...

Thank you for all of the entries for our pledge competition. We received some fantastic pledges around helping trees and woods in their school, home and community and had a difficult time picking the winners.

Key stage 3
The John Frost School, Newport, Wales.

They win a den building kit big enough for the whole class.

Key Stage 2
Lady Elizabeth Hastings C of E Primary School, Castleford, West Yorkshire.

Their prize is a goody bag of including a butterfly habitat, den building kit, ID books and a jigsaw.

A special award for Asfordby Hill Primary School, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. The school wins a set of swatch books for the class.

Thank you to everyone who entered and congratulations to all of our winners.
