Have you been bird watching for a little while and would like to polish your skills? Join our experts for an early morning walk - the best time to hear singing and to look for other activity in preparation for the breeding season.

This is a great opportunity if you have some experience of bird watching but may be slightly out of practice or looking to rediscover it as an interest or hobby. Heartwood Forest provides a glorious backdrop for an early morning walk exploring sights and sounds.

Parking: Available on site in the main Heartwood Forest car park

Dogs: Not allowed

Access: Entrance gates are wheelchair accessible but paths are unsurfaced and can become muddy or slippery during wet weather.

Extra things to know: Please dress appropriately for the weather and activity, as it may be muddy and cold. Places cost £4 per person, payable in cash on the day (correct change would be advantageous). Unfortunately we cannot take credit/debit card payments at present. Toilets will not be available on the walk. Detailed information about where to meet and what to bring will be provided in the booking confirmation. The session lasts approximately 2.5-3 hours, and may lead attendees over rough or muddy terrain. Please note that no toilets will be available for the duration of the activity. Dogs are not permitted on the walk. In the event of severe weather, the walk may be cancelled or postponed.
