1 July 2017 Butterfly Walk Heartwood Forest

Join us and Herts Butterfly Conservation to find out more about the captivating world of butterflies at Heartwood Forest on this guided walk.

This leisurely walk through newly planted areas of forest aims to witness a vivid display of summer butterflies. Target species include Skippers, Marbled White, blues and browns. Handy tips will be provided by our walk leader to help you learn how to identify individual species.

Parking: Available on site in the main Heartwood Forest car park

Dogs: Welcome but limited to one per person, kept on a lead

Access: Entrance gates are wheelchair accessible but paths are unsurfaced and can become muddy or slippery during wet weather.

Extra things to know: Please dress appropriately for the weather and activity, as it may be muddy and cold. Unfortunately we cannot take credit/debit card payments at present. Toilets will not be available on the walk. Detailed information about where to meet and what to bring will be provided in the booking confirmation. The session lasts approximately 2.5 hours, and may lead attendees over rough or muddy terrain. Please note that no toilets will be available for the duration of the activity. Dogs are not permitted on the walk. In the event of severe weather, the walk may be cancelled or postponed.
