The Woodland Trust takes the threat posed by COVID-19 extremely seriously.

During the pandemic we have worked closely with our organisational partners and peers to ensure our staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors are kept as safe as practicable.

Our overarching organisational risk assessment lays down the broad requirements of how the Woodland Trust will manage the COVID-19 risk, while detailed risk assessments and safe ways of working are in place for our staff, volunteers and contractors.

All of our indoor workspaces will be thoroughly risk assessed, updated to ensure government requirements are met and marked with the UK government “COVID Secure” poster as required.

The key messages that the Woodland Trust endorses are:

  • We will work from home where practicable and reduce our travel
  • We’ll obey social distancing requirements
  • We’ll maintain hygiene standards
  • We’ll follow devolved Government guidance as it evolves.
