Features and attractions

  • Broadleaved woodland
  • Local parking difficult
  • Bluebells

Situated on the edge of the village of Leake Commonside, this wood was originally planted in around 1900. The local landscape is flat and heavily cultivated, making this small wood of mixed deciduous trees particularly prominent. It is a rare habitat for wildlife and bluebells and a haven for nesting songbirds in a village with very few trees.
