Wilmay Copse is north-west of the village of Fawkham Green; situated on a plateau overlooking the Fawkham Valley it is an important feature of the local downland landscape. There is very limited roadside parking along Sun Hill, adjacent to the wood, and 3 entrances, two through gaps in fencing and one up a set of wooden steps. There is a network of paths, none of which is surfaced, and rich flora throughout including spurge laurel, bluebells and dog mercury, indicative of Ancient Woodland.
