This ancient oak woodland, adjacent to Newport Golf Course, is a few hundred metres from Rogerstone Railway Station and closer still to bus tops in Ruskin Avenue, Rogerstone. The wood is a designated Site of Importance for Nature Conservation and also includes beech and birch trees. The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal is close. Parking is available at Fourteen Locks Visitor Centre from where there is a circular walk incorporating Llwyni.
