Hemsted Forest

This working woodland, managed by the Forestry Commission, offers the visitor extensive forest paths through a variety of different woodland. Pre-dominantly conifer plantations ' pine and douglas fir. An area of the forest devastated by The Great Storm was planted up by a local community group. The forest is rich in different bird species and a home for dormice.
