Gortnamoyagh Forest straddling the North Sperrins ridge has scenic views and remote areas of forest. Covering 930 hectares, the forest is predominantly sitka spruce, with other conifer species such as Japanese larch, Scots pine and Norway spruce. It provides the opportunity to see many types of wildlife including; buzzards, kestrels, ravens and jays. One of the interesting features of the forest is 'The Rock', with a foot-like indentation which is shrouded in myth.
