A
growing gift that goes on giving |
 |
 |
Woods are magical places. For over 30 years, the Woodland Trust
has been saving threatened ancient woodland and creating new
areas of native broadleaf woodland throughout the UK. With
climate change and development threats, protecting the future of
our precious woodland is more urgent than ever.
Trees are crucial to life on our planet. They generate oxygen,
play host to a spectacular variety of wildlife, and provide us
with raw materials and shelter.
We all have occasions we wish to mark. Happy ones like weddings
and births, annual celebrations such as birthdays or
anniversaries, and occasionally, sad ones like the passing of a
dear friend or relative.
More and more people are choosing to “say it with trees” by
dedicating a tree, the special gift that goes on growing, thus
ensuring our woodlands are there for future generations to
enjoy. |
