Waitrose has raised more than £210,000 for the Woodland Trust through our successful Woodland Carbon scheme.

It has helped us plant hundreds of trees to soak up carbon dioxide – benefiting eco-systems and purifying the air we breathe.

The partnership enables Waitrose to remove tailpipe carbon emissions generated through home deliveries. Every customer who shops online with Waitrose helps to plant trees to compensate for tailpipe emissions.

The trees are planted at Warcop; a ministry of defence site used as a military training ground for soldiers and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Cumbria.

"We are delighted to have supported the Woodland Trust in a number of ways, whether through the contribution we make to help minimise the impact of our home delivery service, through raising the awareness of the importance of trees and the Trust's work with our customers and through other fundraising and staff volunteering initiatives.
