From wardrobes to woodlands, bedrooms to birches – a 90-year-old family furniture company has helped protect scores of trees through us.
Hammonds Furniture has been supporting our work since 2004 and in that time has dedicated 98,000 trees for people in their local woods, helping preserve more than 4,000 acres of woodland and donating over £1 million to our work.
This is helping us to nurture beautiful natural woodland environments for generations of people to enjoy, plus homes for previous wildlife and fauna, from willows to woodpeckers.
Hammonds dedicates a tree in a wood for customers whenever they choose to have a vinyl bedroom, kitchen or study/office fitted. Every customer who buys a wood veneer bedroom receives a year’s membership with us.
It’s a partnership that works so well, with all of Hammonds’ furniture being FSC certified – meaning it is derived from sustainable sources.
Richard Hammonds, Chairman of Hammonds said:
“With my keen interest in the environment, and in particular, our native woods, it is natural that Hammonds would support the Woodland Trust. The charity’s aims to protect, restore and create woodlands dovetails beautifully with our own policy of respecting the environment that we all share.”
