The Street Trees project

Street Trees

Help us protect and enhance the street trees where you live

We're working with communities, partners and local authorities across the UK to promote good practice, good communication and appreciation for the most valuable features on your street.

We need your help

We’re aware of an ever-increasing threat to our urban trees, through insufficient funding, poor management or simply neglect.

We believe it’s time to recognise the value of trees and that it’s time to welcome them into our lives. It’s time to do for them what they do for us - make our world a better place to live. Street Trees is your chance to tell decision makers and the rest of the world that you want trees. You want them where you live.

We have developed a Street Trees Celebration Starter Kit to help you build community relations, ensure that your trees are valued by everyone and celebrate these precious members of society.

In November 2017, we’d like everyone to show how much they care for their local trees and take part in a tree dressing day as part of National Tree Week. We’ll then celebrate your efforts with an awards ceremony where the biggest and best events will be given the spotlight to shine.

The more people you can get together and the more events and celebrations you can run, the greater chance there is that your street will be chosen for an award.
