Why is Woodland Carbon so expensive?

We would ask why competing products are so cheap!

Our price (currently £25 per tonne of CO2) puts our product at the high end of the range. However, when you plant native trees – in the United Kingdom – you're doing so much more than simply locking up carbon.

New native woodland can serve to:

  • buffer and protect remnants of ancient woodland,
  • provide valuable new habitat for wildlife as it adapts to the changing climate,
  • protect against soil erosion and flood damage,
  • enable local communities to connect with the landscape in which they live.

Our price is in line with the value of carbon estimated by the UK Government: we believe that providing a high quality solution is of overriding importance and the price reflects our commitment to deliver.
