For learning

Trees and wood provide a fun way of learning about the natural world and its relationship to human activities, connecting people to wildlife and educating them about their environment.

For instance, school groups can use woods to fulfil the needs of the National Curriculum, while groups such as Forest Schools use woods for outdoor activities to develop children’s skills, or aid adults learning new crafts and skills.

The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity.
