Specialist volunteers have acted recently as Research Consultants and helped us to develop an organisational 'Green travel plan’, and evolve one of our key projects to the next phase.
Some regularly engage with staff as coaches and mentors enabling these staff to identify and increase their skills and capabilities within the Trust.
There are the 'Business Intelligence' professionals who supported the Trust as volunteer consultants by advising and running workshops for our Finance and Marketing teams in preparation of the Trust’s SRM project.
One company selected the Woodland Trust as their environmental charity, and has established a criteria that provides staff with 3 days per year volunteering allowance that has enabled their staff to support the Trust with professional skills. There has been mutual exchange of benefits, as this company expects their employees to report their volunteering as development experience through internal "performance and development” processes.
