On some of our site we have volunteers who are carrying surveying and monitoring roles on behalf of the Woodland Trust site manager by collecting data for the longterm management of a site.
The skills required for such as role varry from role to role and are dependant on the type of monitoring required.
Some examples of the type of monitoring that have taken place are bird monitoring at Glen Finglas, doormouse surveys of several sites and bat monitoring.
