Practical conservation

If you are looking for a reason to get stuck in on a weekend or a volunteer group to support for a longer period of time then please visit our events or the Community Woodland Network pages to see if there is an opportunity going on which is local to you. Other more specific opportunities will be listed below as they become avialable.

Some of our volunteers support the site managers in the delivery of the Woodland Trust management plan for our sites. This may include -

  • Site condition monitoring
  • Litter picking
  • Being the volunteer group or task leader
  • Secretary or other key roles that assist a voluntary group to operate efficiently and effectively

Currently there are limited opportunities for this type of activity, please check back regularly either here or on your local woods web site.
